GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Senior Certified Financial Coach helps people reach their financial goals through one-on-one consultations, classes, community events and partnerships and other avenues. The Senior Certified Financial Coach can help people understand their financial situation, provide options, teach money management skills, and offer encouragement to stay the course. Under the direction of the Director, Community Impact, in close collaboration with the Senior Program Manager, Financial Education and embedded in a Financial Resource Center, this position will lead Golden 1’s financial coaching in the North Bay region. This requires developing a deep understanding of community needs, providing a judgment-free, professional environment to effectively develop personalized plans for members to financially thrive, developing an offering that meets members’ needs and leading financial coaching relationship management with members and as a representative of Golden 1 in the community The Senior Certified Financial Coach will also lead the development of community financial workshops in the region and network with organizations to promote financial services in alignment with Golden 1’s commitment to enhancing the financial well-being of all Californians. Additionally, the Financial Coach is responsible for the continued development and growth of the Credit Union’s financial literacy program, as well as relevant content creation, promotion, and solutions to improve outcomes.
