Overview We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Guard to maintain safety and security across our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring the site, preventing loss, and ensuring a secure environment for staff and visitors. Job Type: Part-time (16.4 – 20.8 hours per week) Work Location: In person Shift Pattern (Weekend availability required): Wednesday: 18:00 – 22:30 Friday: 16:00 – 20:30 Saturday: 12:00 – 18:00 Sunday: 12:00 – 18:00 Please note: This role requires availability to work every weekend. Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks Enforce loss prevention policies by observing suspicious behaviour and intervening when necessary Respond swiftly to alarms or emergencies, including administering first aid if required Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate effectively with management regarding security concerns Control access points, verify identification, and manage visitor logs to ensure authorised entry only Requirements & Experience Must hold a valid SIA licence (applications without this will not be considered) Ability to provide a full 5-year work history Prior experience in security or related roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided Knowledge of basic first aid procedures is preferred Strong observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure This position offers a rewarding environment for dedicated individuals eager to contribute to safety and security.
