Job Title: Security Guard Department: Security Reports To: Security Manager FLSA Status: Hourly/ Non-Exempt (Part-Time) Summary Wind Creek Event Center has an immediate opening for a part-time Security Guard. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, staff, performers, and vendors by monitoring premises, responding to incidents, and supporting event operations to ensure positive and secure guest experience. Located adjacent to the Wind Creek Bethlehem Casino, the facility is a premier entertainment destination in the Lehigh Valley. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintain a visible and active security presence throughout the venue during events and non-event hours.Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety of guests, staff, performers, vendors, and all individuals on premises.Operate metal detection wands and conduct proper pat-down procedures when required.Respond promptly to disturbances, alarms, and emergency situations, taking appropriate action and escalating when necessary.Assist with crowd control inside and outside of the Event Center to ensure orderly and safe movement of guests.Inspect doors, windows, gates, and other access points to ensure they are secure and report any irregularities.Document incidents accurately and notify Security Supervisors and/or Management as needed; assist law enforcement when required.Escort disruptive individuals from the premises in accordance with policies and in coordination with local authorities when necessary.Support other departments, including the Box Office, during high-volume situations or when handling cash operations.Assist in emergency situations including fire, severe weather, or other unexpected incidents.Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with guests, artists, clients, and staff at all times.Ensure all patrons, performers, and clients receive a safe and positive experience.Assist with setup and breakdown tasks, including moving equipment such as chairs, barricades, and security signage.Perform additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests, staff, and vendors.Ability to remain calm, use sound judgment, and de-escalate situations in high-pressure environments.Knowledge of basic security procedures and safety practices. Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal; radio use required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.Ability to meet physical demands, including standing/walking for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.Ability to adapt to changing situations and work in loud or high-activity environments. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEHigh School diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.Minimum of one to two (1-2) years of security experience preferred. Previous military, law enforcement, or security experience preferred.Reliable transportation and availability based on event schedules.Salary - $20.00/hour The essential responsibilities of this position are described under the above headings.
