An IT service desk in Tzaneen, Limpopo is hiring a IT Support Technician for a 24/7 operations centre. You will monitor system alerts, respond to incidents according to ITIL processes, escalate major incidents to the appropriate teams, and ensure service level agreements are met. Shift work including night shifts is required for this position. Responsibilities Escalate complex or unresolved issues to second and third-level support teams with complete diagnostic information. Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices within agreed service levels. Manage user accounts and access permissions in Active Directory, email systems, and other enterprise applications. Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems, applications, and drivers on end-user computing devices. Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues including Wi-Fi, VPN, and LAN connectivity problems. Set up and deploy new computer equipment including imaging, software installation, and physical deployment to user desks. Requirements For field support roles, a valid driver's licence and own reliable transport are essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users patiently. A diploma or degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent certifications. Experience with IT service management tools such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or similar ticketing platforms. A minimum of one to three years of experience in an IT support or helpdesk role in a corporate environment. CompTIA A+ and N+ certifications are strongly preferred, and Microsoft or ITIL certifications are advantageous. Qualifications Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator
