Introduction The role will entail to plan, coordinate and execute warehouse activities in order to meet the goals of the company and clients and to support the warehousing manager. This position is based in Johannesburg South. Reports to: Warehouse Manager Duties & Responsibilities Timeous planning on warehouse space and resources. Assisting the warehouse manager in planning, co-ordinating, monitoring and managing the movement of all incoming/ outgoing goods. Assist warehouse manager in developing a tracking system for the management of receipts and despatches. Stock rotation. Ensure stock audits are completed as required by the inventory controller and work closely with all departments to ensure everyone is aware of the stock availability. Customer and Transporting Company Liaison. Effectively communicate with both external and internal customers to inform them of what the status of their goods are. Continually maximize space utilisation through effective stock rotation and meet targets are set by warehouse manager. SHEQ Always maintaining SHEQ standards and record keeping, inspection checklists, toolbox training, correct PPE and warehouse inductions as necessary. Work closely with the SHEQ assistant to ensure all processes and procedures are accurately followed. Reporting Send monthly reports to warehouse manager including forecasts, budgeting and trends for the month ahead. Ensure supplier Pallet are well managed and returns are executed daily. Any reasonable adhoc duties assigned to you by your manager. Key Performance Indicators CHEP Pallet management. On time Live SAGE Performance. Product/ Packaging specifications are monitored. SHEQ compliance and best practice Personnel management Cost containment Food Safety and Quality culture Desired Experience & Qualification Matric A completed Tertiary Degree/ Diploma in Logistics. Experience of SAGE Evolution is advantageous At least intermediate knowledge of excel At least 3 years' experience in a warehousing environment within an FMCG industry.
