A company in Uitenhage, Eastern Cape is seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Assistant to assist with general duties. The role involves physical tasks such as loading and offloading, moving materials, keeping the work area clean, and assisting skilled workers as required. This entry-level position is ideal for someone who is physically fit and willing to learn. Responsibilities Pick and pack orders accurately according to pick lists, ensuring that the correct items and quantities are selected. Label products and packages correctly with batch numbers, dates, and other required information as per standard operating procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including sweeping floors, removing waste, and storing tools and equipment properly. Report any safety hazards, damaged equipment, or product defects to the supervisor or team leader immediately. Sort and stack inventory, pallets, and containers neatly and safely to maximise storage space and prevent accidents. Requirements A strong work ethic and willingness to work hard, with a positive attitude even when tasks are repetitive or physically demanding. The ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English accurately. A clear criminal record may be required depending on the nature of the workplace and client requirements. For warehouse roles, experience operating a forklift with a valid licence is highly desirable. A Grade 10 or Grade 12 certificate is preferred though not always essential depending on the specific role. Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual work including lifting, standing, bending, and walking for extended periods. Qualifications Grade 10 or Higher
