A construction materials supplier in Kimberley, Northern Cape is seeking a Delivery Driver to deliver sand, stone, bricks, and cement to building sites. You will operate a heavy vehicle with trailer, manage delivery schedules, and liaise with site supervisors. Experience driving in challenging site conditions including unpaved roads is required. Responsibilities Keep the assigned vehicle clean and tidy both inside and out, arranging regular washing and ensuring the cab is free of litter. Maintain accurate driver logbooks and trip sheets recording hours driven, distances travelled, fuel used, and any incidents or delays. Load and unload goods safely, ensuring cargo is properly secured and protected against damage during transit using straps and restraints. Complete all delivery documentation accurately including waybills, delivery notes, and proof of delivery receipts for office processing. Report any vehicle defects, accidents, traffic fines, or near-miss incidents to the transport manager immediately and complete incident reports. Adhere strictly to company policies regarding mobile phone use while driving and comply with regulations governing driver working hours and rest periods. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, checking tyres, lights, brakes, fluid levels, and safety equipment before every journey. Requirements A clear criminal record as background checks are conducted for positions involving valuable goods or passenger transport. A valid Code 10, Code 14, or equivalent driving licence appropriate to the vehicle class being operated. A valid Professional Driving Permit for roles involving passenger transport or dangerous goods as required by legislation. Excellent customer service orientation with ability to communicate politely and professionally with customers at delivery points. A minimum of two to three years of professional driving experience with a clean driving record and no major traffic violations.
