Senior Performance Testers

We are seeking two experienced Senior Performance Testers<\/b> to support multiple strategic projects currently in execution across the organization. These initiatives span areas such as business separation, digitization, generation turnaround, distribution, and commercial transformation. <\/p>The successful candidates will form part of the Testing Centre of Excellence (TCoE)<\/b>, a centralized testing function within Group IT that provides independent, specialist testing services to ensure the delivery of high -quality software solutions. <\/p>Testing resources will be assigned across multiple projects, playing a critical role in improving delivery timelines, system performance, and overall software quality. <\/p> <\/div>Key Responsibilities<\/b> <\/div>The Senior Performance Tester will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: <\/p> Performance & Non -Functional Testing<\/b> <\/h4> Analyze and understand non -functional requirements <\/p><\/li> Define the approach and methodology for non -functional testing <\/p><\/li> Produce detailed Performance Test Plans<\/b> <\/p><\/li> Design, develop, and maintain load, stress, and performance test cases and procedures <\/p><\/li> Develop and maintain non -functional test scripts <\/p><\/li> Execute performance tests and analyze results <\/p><\/li> Log defects and manage retesting through to closure <\/p><\/li> Maintain the non -functional test script repository <\/p><\/li> Plan, execute, and report on all performance -related testing activities within assigned projects <\/p><\/li> Support broader performance engineering activities as required <\/p><\/li><\/ul> Tools & Environment Management<\/b> <\/h4> Evaluate, select, and recommend appropriate performance testing tools <\/p><\/li> Set up, configure, and manage the performance testing tool suite <\/p><\/li> Work closely with Technical Architecture, Infrastructure, and Tools teams <\/p><\/li> Support walkthroughs and inspections of load and stress test procedures <\/p><\/li><\/ul> <\/div><\/span> Requirements<\/h3>Minimum Requirements<\/b> <\/h3> ISTQB Foundation certification <\/p><\/li> Minimum 5+ years’ experience<\/b> as a Performance Tester <\/p><\/li> Minimum 5+ years’ hands -on experience<\/b> using LoadRunner<\/b> <\/p><\/li> BTech in Information Technology or an equivalent qualification <\/p><\/li> Strong experience in non -functional testing within complex environments <\/p><\/li> Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously <\/p><\/li> Willingness to be based onsite at MWP, Johannesburg<\/b> <\/p><\/li><\/ul> Training & Knowledge Sharing<\/b> <\/h3> Participate in TCoE knowledge -sharing sessions <\/p><\/li> Contribute to skills transfer and continuous improvement initiatives within the testing team<\/p><\/li><\/ul> <\/h3>Key Competencies<\/b> <\/div> Strong analytical and problem -solving skills <\/p><\/li> Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills <\/p><\/li> Ability to work independently and within cross -functional teams <\/p><\/li> Strong documentation and reporting capability <\/p><\/li> Attention to detail and commitment to quality delivery <\/p><\/li><\/ul> <\/div><\/span>
