Job DescriptionJob DescriptionLaborer (Entry-Level) Location: Henderson, NV (Las Vegas area) Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire Pay Rate: Up to $22/hr Overview Job Overview Insight Global is seeking a Construction Laborer to join SCS Engineers, a leading environmental consulting and contracting firm. This role involves hands-on work in the construction of landfill gas collection and environmental pollution control systems. You’ll report to a Project Manager, Superintendent, Senior Field Technician, or Project Foreman and play a key role in supporting field operations and system installations. Key Responsibilities Follow safe work practices as outlined in the Injury and Illness Prevention Program.Assist with pipe fusion under supervision and install gas, leachate, or condensate system piping in excavations and confined spaces.Operate power tools (saws, drills) to cut and connect piping and wellheads.Apply glues and primers to repair or connect system piping.Remove, clean, and install landfill gas system liquid pumps and sumps.Transport parts and equipment using company vehicles.Participate in monthly health and safety meetings and SOP training.Maintain daily logs documenting work performed.Support development and review of project health and safety plans, including Job Task Safety Analysis.Required Skills & Experience 0–3 years of general construction experience; piping experience is a plus.Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.Ability to meet physical requirements including:Driving pickup trucksLifting/carrying up to 50 lbs unassistedHand excavation/diggingClimbing and working from ladders and man liftsOperating hand and power toolsWorking in varying weather conditionsWhy Join SCS Engineers?
