About this role
Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Security Guard/Crowd Control professional to join our team at Coors Event Centre. This role is crucial in maintaining safety and order during events, contributing significantly to our mission of providing a secure experience for all participants. Starting and wage growth depends on prior experience and proven ability throughout training shifts.
Must:
-Understand that this is casual event based work. Shifts vary in frequency based on events. There may be 0-1 shifts in a month, 8 shifts in a month, or 5 in a row. Shifts are based on event bookings, attendance, and seniority.
-Be able to work evenings and weekends.
-Understand that this is not a part time or full time job. It is casual.
-Have a positive, approachable attitude. We do not have bouncer mentality, you are essentially here to make people feel safe, and facilitate crowd control measures.
-Be able to handle confrontation, and possess skills of deescalation.
-Have the ability to foresee, and proactively react in situations to avoid escalation.
-Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
Responsibilities
Monitor crowd activities to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Provide first aid and CPR assistance as needed during events. Manage conflicts effectively to maintain a peaceful environment. Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary to address security concerns. Enforce loss prevention strategies to protect assets. Maintain detailed reports of incidents and activities. Proven experience in security, hospitality and enforcement roles. Certification in First Aid and CPR is required. Serve it Right Certification is required. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate situations. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
