Job Description Fidelity Services Group is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Night Shift Security Guard to join our esteemed team in East London, Eastern Cape. This critical full-time role offers an opportunity to be at the forefront of protecting our clients' premises, assets, and personnel during crucial overnight hours. As a Night Shift Security Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through constant vigilance, proactive patrolling, and rapid response to any unusual activities or incidents. You will be expected to conduct regular patrols, monitor CCTV systems, control access points, and diligently report any suspicious behaviour or breaches of security. A significant part of this role involves detailed incident reporting and effective communication with team leaders and emergency services when required. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols of assigned premises and perimeter areas during night shifts, ensuring all points of access are secure. Monitor surveillance equipment (CCTV) and alarm systems, promptly responding to activations or anomalies. Control access points for vehicles and personnel, verifying credentials and maintaining accurate logs. Deter illegal activities, vandalism, and unauthorized entry through visible presence and proactive measures. Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies such as fires, medical incidents, or security breaches, following established protocols. Complete detailed and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and observation notes. Enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance by all personnel and visitors during your shift. Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as necessary. Maintain a high level of physical fitness and readiness for potential security challenges. Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to staff, visitors, and clients as needed, while upholding security priorities.
