Overview POSITION SUMMARY: Guards, patrols, or monitors premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assist with emergency situations, First Aid, CPR and AED. Demonstrates and adheres to working knowledge a Community Emergency Response Team Certification. Is an essential member of Goodwill’s Emergency Response Team. Assists in the training of new Security Officers in company standards. Security policies and procedures. Helps promote health, safety and liability awareness. Acts as a safety leader. Patrols industrial and commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensures security of doors, windows, and gates. Answers alarms and investigates disturbances. Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises. Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences. Calls police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons. Circulates among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property. Checks all vehicles and donation center doors, lift gates and roll-up doors to determine they are locked and secured. Notifies management immediately if any illegal activity is conducted during business hours. Safeguards company property, including donated goods. Reports any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of company property to management immediately. Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned or directed. Qualifications SKILLS & ABILITIES: Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred. Experience: 1 year or more experience required. Computer Skills: Knowledge of MS Office, e-mail and internet preferred. Certificates & Licenses: CPR/FA/AED Certificate, Community Emergency Response Certified, Basic OSHA Certified, Fire safety Certified. Amount of Travel Required: 50% to 75%

Qualifications
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
Experience: 1 year or more experience required.
Computer Skills: Knowledge of MS Office, e-mail and internet preferred.
Certificates & Licenses: CPR/FA/AED Certificate, Community Emergency Response Certified, Basic OSHA Certified, Fire safety Certified.
Amount of Travel Required: 50% to 75%
