Role Description This is an entry-level role focused on lead engagement, conversion, and community management, with the primary objective of increasing course enrolments and strengthening SCI’s presence within the sports industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing prospective students, nurturing relationships, and contributing directly to revenue generation. The role involves promoting SCI’s programmes, assisting with events and community-building activities, and supporting student engagement and satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying and pursuing sales opportunities while contributing to the growth and visibility of the institute. Qualifications Strong communication and relationship-building skills to engage with various stakeholders and community members Sales and marketing abilities, including an understanding of sales strategies and promotion techniques Proficiency in social media management and content creation for community engagement Passion for sports and an understanding of the sports industry in Africa A proactive, adaptable, and self-motivated attitude Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience Previous experience in a sales, marketing, or community engagement role is a plus Key Responsibilities Lead Engagement & ConversionEngage with prospective leads via WhatsApp and phone callsConduct consistent follow-ups to guide leads through the decision-making processAddress queries and objections in a professional and timely mannerMaintain accurate records of lead interactions and statusCommunity Management (WhatsApp)Manage and grow SCI’s WhatsApp communityDrive engagement through relevant updates, discussions, and opportunitiesIdentify and nurture high-potential leads within the communityEmail Marketing & Lead NurturingSupport the execution of email campaignsMaintain and update email lists and contact databasesAssist in nurturing leads through structured communicationSocial Media CoordinationLiaise with external social media partnersAssist with posting and scheduling where requiredMonitor and respond to inbound messages, comments, and enquiries Key Performance Indicators Performance in this role will be measured against: Number of leads engaged and followed up weekly Conversion rate from lead to course enrolment Growth and engagement levels within the WhatsApp community Email engagement metrics (open rates, click-through rates) Responsiveness to inbound enquiries across platforms Additional Information This role is best suited to individuals who are: Comfortable engaging directly with people Interested in developing commercial and sales skills Looking to build a career within sports and education
