Liberia Economic Development Initiative (LEDI) is a US-based, 501 (c)(3) tax exempt nonprofit organization with an international focus providing life changing literacy, economic development and humanitarian programs and interventions to disadvantaged people in Liberia, West Africa, which is the fourth poorest country in the world. Since 2007, LEDI has provided over 750 educational scholarships and empowered countless individuals and communities through economic development and humanitarian relief. Your role will be critical in ensuring that LEDI can continue to carry out its mission and expand its impact. You will work closely with our leadership team to help us with public relations. What You’ll Do Craft compelling stories and press releasesSecure TV, radio, print, and digital media coverageBuild media kits, press kits, and pitch decksConnect LEDI’s mission to journalists, producers, and influencers What We’re Looking For 5+ years PR/media experience (nonprofit experience a plus)Proven success landing media coverageStrong writing, storytelling and overall communication skills, Passion for global impact and volunteer service(Optional nonprofit, interantional and/or experience in the Georgia and Ohio markets a plus) Why volunteer with LEDI?
