HR / Payroll Administrator (Min 5–7 Years Experience in the Transport & Logistics industry) Location: Port Elizabeth Employment Type: Full-Time We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented HR / Payroll Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong payroll experience, excellent Excel skills, and a solid understanding of HR processes and employee benefits. Key Responsibilities: * Process weekly and monthly payroll accurately and on time * Perform full payroll reconciliations, including statutory deductions and third-party payments * Manage payroll systems including InterCode,VIP Payroll and Sage Payroll * Ensure compliance with South African labour laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements (PAYE, UIF, SDL) * Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records * Administer employee benefits (medical aid, provident fund, etc.) * Prepare and submit monthly reports, payroll journals, and management reports * Handle payroll queries and resolve discrepancies efficiently * Assist with HR administration including on boarding, contracts, and terminations * Support audits by providing required payroll and HR documentation Minimum Requirements: * 5–7 years’ experience in a HR / Payroll Administrator role * Proven experience with InterCode, VIP Payroll and Sage Payroll * Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis) * Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance in South Africa * Experience with payroll reconciliations and financial reporting * Knowledge of employee benefits administration * Fluent in Afrikaans and English (written and verbal) * Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy * Professional, well-presented, and able to handle confidential information - Advantageous Skills: * Experience with SARS eFiling and statutory submissions * HRIS system experience (e.g., Sage 300 People, BambooHR, or similar) * Knowledge of labour relations and disciplinary processes * Experience in multi-company payroll environments * Diploma or degree in HR, Finance, or Payroll Administration * Membership with a professional body (e.g., South African Payroll Association) Personal Attributes: * Strong organisational and time-management skills * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * High level of integrity and confidentiality * Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach - What We Offer: * Competitive salary (based on experience) * Professional working environment * Opportunity for growth and development To Apply: Please submit your CV with a cover picture to [email protected] along with a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience.
