Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.89 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon07:00 AM - 05:30 PMTue07:00 AM - 05:30 PMWed01:30 PM - 05:30 PMThur11:30 AM - 05:30 PMFri11:00 AM - 05:30 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and public emergency responders as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions. Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor activity, and/or deliveries in accordance with site protocols while maintaining detailed logs and incident reports. Support assigned post orders by maintaining a visible presence, following use of force and firearms guidelines, and escalating security-related concerns through the appropriate chain of command. Minimum Requirements: Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or possess a college degree. Be at least 21 years of age. Have 5 or more years of security-related experience. A valid firearms permit is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
