Position Overview The Armed Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, strong situational awareness, and excellent judgment while carrying out assigned security duties. Key Responsibilities Patrol assigned property and monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or violations of rules Maintain a visible security presence to deter criminal activity Control access to the property by verifying identification and authorizations Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies Write detailed incident and activity reports Communicate effectively with management, clients, and local law enforcement when necessary Enforce company and client policies in a professional manner Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent 18 years of age or older Valid Connecticut Security Guard License Valid Connecticut Armed Security Permit (Blue Card) Prior armed security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred Strong observational and communication skills Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations Must pass a background check and drug screening Reliable transportation to the Milford area Schedule Full-time, part-time, and floater shifts available First Shift, Second Shift and Third Shift available Overtime is always available Evening, overnight, and weekend availability may be required depending on assignment What Guardcorps Offers Competitive pay Consistent scheduling opportunities Professional work environment Opportunities for advancement within the company Ongoing training and support Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Good working knowledge of Security Operations.
