BSG is currently seeking a full-time, qualified Campus Security Officer for our client's prestigious, private, state of the art University located in San Jose. Campus Security Officer will play a critical role in maintaining a secure campus environment. The ideal candidate will be equipped with specialized skills in de-escalation and crisis management, ensuring the safety and well-being of our university community. This position requires a strong commitment to proactive security measures, effective communication, and rapid response to incidents. This team is directly responsible for the accurate documentation of routine and unusual events occurring on or near the facilities. The team must maintain an expert level of knowledge of the campus rules and always provide friendly professional interactions that promote safety to, and confidence from, the people that encompass the property. The candidate must be able to: Stand or Walk for Extended Periods: Ability to stand and walk for long shifts, often for several hours at a time, including traversing outdoor areas with uneven surfaces, without significant physical strain.Climb Stairs: Regularly climb stairs and navigate multi-level buildings to perform patrols and check all areas.Lift and Carry: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to move or secure equipment and assist with other duties as necessary.Physical Endurance: Ability to withstand various weather conditions during outdoor patrols, including hot, cold, rainy, or windy weather.Manual Dexterity: Ability to handle and operate security equipment, such as radios, keys, and locks.Run or Move Quickly: Ability to sprint short distances if needed to respond quickly to emergencies or incidents.Physical Stamina: Capable of working long hours while remaining alert and focused throughout the shift. De-escalate stressful situations with professionalism and patience.
