We have an opening for a Armed Response Officer in a 24-hour control room in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. You will monitor alarms and CCTV feeds from multiple sites, dispatch armed response units, log all incidents accurately, and maintain communication with clients and field personnel. Strong computer literacy and a calm disposition are required.ResponsibilitiesWrite detailed and accurate incident reports describing security events, observations, and actions taken for management review.Respond promptly to alarm activations, investigate the cause, and take appropriate action including escalation to armed response or law enforcement.Supervise and coordinate a team of security officers, managing shift rosters and ensuring all posts are adequately staffed.Perform regular checks of security equipment including alarms, cameras, radios, and access control systems to ensure functionality.Conduct regular patrols of the assigned premises on foot or by vehicle, checking for security breaches, hazards, and suspicious activity.Provide excellent customer service to clients, tenants, and visitors while maintaining a firm and professional security presence.RequirementsFor armed response roles, a valid firearm competency certificate and experience in handling firearms safely.A valid PSIRA registration at the appropriate grade level for the position being applied for.Grade 12 certificate is preferred; Grade 10 may be acceptable for certain entry-level positions.A valid driver's licence is required for armed response and patrol positions.A minimum of one to two years of experience in the security industry with a proven track record of reliability.The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure in emergency or high-stress situations.QualificationsPSIRA Grade A or B Registration
