You will drive heavy vehicles over extended distances, manage logbooks in compliance with regulations, secure loads, and report any mechanical issues or delays. Overtime and overnight allowances are provided. Responsibilities Keep the assigned vehicle clean and tidy both inside and out, arranging regular washing and ensuring the cab is free of litter. Provide polite and professional service to customers at delivery and collection points, representing the company positively in all interactions. Plan and follow the most efficient delivery routes using GPS navigation and local knowledge to minimise fuel consumption and ensure on-time deliveries. Complete all delivery documentation accurately including waybills, delivery notes, and proof of delivery receipts for office processing. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, checking tyres, lights, brakes, fluid levels, and safety equipment before every journey. Requirements Strong time management skills with ability to plan routes and deliveries to meet tight deadlines and customer time windows. Good knowledge of road networks and geography within the {province} region, with ability to navigate efficiently. Excellent customer service orientation with ability to communicate politely and professionally with customers at delivery points. A clear criminal record as background checks are conducted for positions involving valuable goods or passenger transport. A valid Code 10, Code 14, or equivalent driving licence appropriate to the vehicle class being operated.
