Introduction We are looking for a competent and experienced Security Officer Facilitator to deliver security training programmes and support learner development within the safety and security industry. The successful candidate will ensure effective knowledge transfer, practical skills development, and compliance with all relevant training standards. Duties & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Facilitate Security Officer training programmes in accordance with unit standards and programme requirements. Deliver theoretical and practical security training sessions. Prepare lesson plans, training materials, and learner support documentation. Assess learner competence and provide developmental feedback where applicable. Ensure training delivery aligns with industry legislation and compliance standards. Maintain learner records, attendance registers, and assessment documentation. Promote discipline, professionalism, and workplace safety among learners. Assist learners in developing operational security skills and workplace readiness. Desired Experience & Qualification Minimum Requirements Qualification in the Safety and Security Industry at NQF Level 3 OR Grade B Security Officer certification. Minimum of 2 years’ experience within the security environment. Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Facilitator, Instructor, or Coach. Sound understanding of security procedures, access control, patrolling, incident reporting, and emergency response. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to facilitate both practical and classroom-based learning. Assessor qualification will be advantageous. Assessment Requirements Assessments must be conducted by a Subject Matter Expert with assessment expertise. Competencies Strong facilitation and learner engagement skills. Attention to detail and administrative accuracy. Good problem-solving and conflict management skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
