Job Overview We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring property, preventing theft or damage, and maintaining a secure environment for staff and visitors. Duties Conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to observe activity and ensure safety protocols are followed Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, and coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations Enforce loss prevention policies by observing suspicious behavior and intervening when appropriate Control access points by verifying credentials and issuing visitor passes Perform security checks on equipment, entrances, and exits to ensure operational integrity Provide assistance and directions to visitors or staff as needed Qualifications Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or related fields is preferred but not required Knowledge of surveillance systems, CCTV operation, and loss prevention techniques is advantageous Strong observational skills with the ability to identify suspicious activity quickly Excellent communication skills for interacting with staff, visitors, and emergency responders Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations Must be able to pass background checks and any required security clearances Availability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, or holidays as needed This role is vital in maintaining a safe environment through vigilant monitoring and proactive security practices.
