Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon12:00 AM - 04:00 AMHow This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts'): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and urgent situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services when needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including common areas, entry points, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas, helping to identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns. Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity while maintaining accurate logs, writing detailed incident reports, and communicating relevant updates to management and/or authorized personnel. Support a respectful shelter environment by assisting with de-escalation, observing resident and guest interactions, and reporting maintenance, behavioral, and other security-related issues in accordance with post procedures. Minimum Requirements: A New York State Security Guard License is required. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
