Requirements Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field Extensive HR experience, preferably within an industrial/manufacturing environment Proven leadership and team management experience Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation Experience with HR systems such as SAP, SuccessFactors, and payroll platforms Advanced MS Office skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities High level of accountability, adaptability, and flexibility Fluent in English (written and spoken) Responsibilities Take full HR ownership for South African operations, acting as the trusted advisor to management and employees Lead and execute core HR functions including talent management, compensation planning, and employee engagement Implement and drive the company’s People Strategy locally Lead HR projects and implement advanced systems and tools in collaboration with global teams Deliver efficient and high-quality HR operational services Manage and maintain strong relationships with trade unions Represent the organisation at external labour relations bodies including Bargaining Councils and industry associations Drive Employment Equity (EE) strategy and ensure compliance Ensure adherence to governance, risk management frameworks, and company policies Act as a change agent to support organisational transformation Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team
