As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy retail distribution location, where you will help manage access control, monitor entry and exit activity, and support security-related procedures with professionalism and great communication. You will remain visible, assist with routine patrols, and deliver customer service that reflects our agile, reliable, and innovative team culture while always acting with integrity and putting people first. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon06:00 AM - 02:00 PMTue06:00 AM - 02:00 PMWed06:00 AM - 02:00 PMThur06:00 AM - 02:00 PMFri06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures for access control, visitor management, and/or basic emergency response activities at a retail distribution location. Monitor entry and exit points, verify badges, credentials, and/or delivery documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas. Screen visitors, vendors, and/or drivers, direct them to the appropriate check-in process, and maintain accurate access logs and incident documentation. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, receiving areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements: A guard card and/or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
