A security company in George, Western Cape is seeking a professional Armed Response Officer to join its operational team. You will conduct patrols, monitor premises, respond to alarms and incidents, and submit detailed reports. PSIRA registration and a clean criminal record are mandatory for all security positions.ResponsibilitiesPerform regular checks of security equipment including alarms, cameras, radios, and access control systems to ensure functionality.Conduct searches of personnel, vehicles, and bags entering or leaving the premises to prevent unauthorised removal of property.Supervise and coordinate a team of security officers, managing shift rosters and ensuring all posts are adequately staffed.Write detailed and accurate incident reports describing security events, observations, and actions taken for management review.Conduct regular patrols of the assigned premises on foot or by vehicle, checking for security breaches, hazards, and suspicious activity.Control access to buildings and sites by verifying identification, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining an accurate access register.Monitor CCTV camera feeds in real time from a control room, identifying and responding to any unusual or suspicious activity.RequirementsA valid driver's licence is required for armed response and patrol positions.The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure in emergency or high-stress situations.A clear criminal record is mandatory and subject to regular review as per PSIRA requirements.For armed response roles, a valid firearm competency certificate and experience in handling firearms safely.A valid PSIRA registration at the appropriate grade level for the position being applied for.Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods, conduct foot patrols, and respond quickly to incidents.QualificationsNational Certificate in Security Management
