## About the Role Archer Western Construction is looking for a Common Laborer to join our team at the Tempe JGMWTP project in Tempe, Arizona. This position involves performing physical labor tasks on active construction jobsites, which may include commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects. You'll operate hand and power tools as directed, prepare construction sites, and assist with various other duties as assigned by your supervisor and management team. ## What You'll Do Your day-to-day responsibilities will include performing physical labor tasks according to supervisor instructions and working alongside crew members to operate a variety of hand and power tools—including drills, hammers, and other equipment as directed. You'll clean and prepare construction sites as needed, which encompasses erecting scaffolding, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials, and digging trenches. Loading and unloading construction supplies around the worksite is also part of the role, accomplished both manually and with the use of equipment. ## What We're Looking For We need someone with 1 year of verifiable construction experience. Physical capability is essential—you must be able to climb and maintain balance on scaffolding and ladders, and you need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. You may be required to work in adverse weather conditions, so flexibility and resilience are important. Safety is non-negotiable in our industry. You must be able to comply with all safety policies and procedures and communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly. Good manual dexterity is required, and you should be comfortable standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for extended periods.
