The goal is to ensure accurate shipping rates and proper mapping between UPS services and packaging types, preventing discrepancies and avoiding billing adjustments from UPS. Project Background Our company operates an e-commerce business that ships perishable products using dry ice. We rely on UPS for reliable and cost-effective delivery across the United States. To streamline operations, we use the PluginHive UPS Shipping Plugin integrated with WooCommerce. Currently, we require assistance in ensuring that the correct UPS services and pricing structures are applied consistently. Project Objectives We need to configure the system to offer only the following shipping options: - Flat Rate → UPS Ground - Simple Rate → UPS 2nd Day Air (used for distant states requiring faster delivery) These configurations are essential for maintaining cost efficiency and operational accuracy. Current Issue When generating shipments in WooCommerce: - The appropriate box size is selected. - The correct shipping service (UPS 2nd Day Air) is chosen. - However, after clicking “Calculate Shipping Cost,” the system refreshes and resets the service to UPS Ground, displaying incorrect rates. We need to ensure that the selected service is preserved and that the correct UPS Simple Rate is applied. The plugin must: - Return accurate live UPS rates. - Preserve the selected service when calculating shipping costs. - Prevent UPS Ground from overriding UPS 2nd Day Air. - Ensure compliance with UPS Simple Rate requirements.
