A security company in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal is seeking a professional Control Room Operator to join its operational team. You will conduct patrols, monitor premises, respond to alarms and incidents, and submit detailed reports. PSIRA registration and a clean criminal record are mandatory for all security positions.ResponsibilitiesWrite detailed and accurate incident reports describing security events, observations, and actions taken for management review.Supervise and coordinate a team of security officers, managing shift rosters and ensuring all posts are adequately staffed.Provide excellent customer service to clients, tenants, and visitors while maintaining a firm and professional security presence.Assist with emergency procedures including fire evacuations, medical emergencies, and crisis situations according to established protocols.Conduct searches of personnel, vehicles, and bags entering or leaving the premises to prevent unauthorised removal of property.Monitor CCTV camera feeds in real time from a control room, identifying and responding to any unusual or suspicious activity.RequirementsPhysical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods, conduct foot patrols, and respond quickly to incidents.A clear criminal record is mandatory and subject to regular review as per PSIRA requirements.A valid PSIRA registration at the appropriate grade level for the position being applied for.Good written and verbal communication skills to write reports and interact professionally with clients and the public.A valid driver's licence is required for armed response and patrol positions.QualificationsPSIRA Grade A or B Registration
