Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Trainee Accountant (SAIPA) located in the Pretoria Metropolitan Area. The Trainee Accountant will assist with various accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, account reconciliations, compiling financial statements, and preparing tax returns. The individual will also support audits, liaise with clients, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations. Qualifications Proficiency in accounting principles, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliations Knowledge of tax regulations and experience in preparing tax returns Proficiency in accounting software and advanced use of Microsoft Excel Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team and with clients Willingness to learn and develop skills in a fast-paced professional environment Eligibility to register as a SAIPA article clerk Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification meeting SAIPA requirements Prior relevant work or internship experience is advantageous but not essential
