About this role

*About the Company** We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Trader with 7+ years of capital markets experience to manage the pricing and execution of mortgage loan sale/acquisition across Closed-End Second Mortgages, HELOCs, and Agency Non-Owner Occupied (NOO) / Second Home products. This role will be responsible for optimizing loan sale execution, managing investor relationships, and identifying best-execution opportunities across multiple investor outlets. The ideal candidate has deep familiarity with agency guidelines, whole loan trading, structured products analytics, and mortgage pipeline management, and thrives in a fast-paced capital markets environment.

*About the Role** This role will be responsible for optimizing loan sale execution, managing investor relationships, and identifying best-execution opportunities across multiple investor outlets. ResponsibilitiesManage daily loan trading and execution for Closed-End Seconds, HELOCs, and Agency NOO / Second Home mortgage products.Evaluate best execution across whole loan investors, aggregators, and securitization outlets.Execute loan sales, loan acquisitions & pricing with approved investor partners.Monitor market conditions, spreads, and pricing trends using platforms such as Bloomberg and internal analytics tools.Utilize Intex analytics to evaluate structured product performance, collateral characteristics, and securitization execution opportunities.Develop and maintain advanced Microsoft Excel models for pricing analysis, loan pool analytics, and execution tracking.Coordinate with the lock desk and pricing teams to ensure accurate pricing and delivery strategy.Maintain and expand relationships with whole loan buyers and institutional investors.Analyze loan pools, pipeline characteristics, and collateral attributes to determine optimal trade structures and execution timing.Assist in pricing strategy development for second liens and investment property products.Work cross-functionally with production, underwriting, business development, and operations teams to ensure deliverability and investor compliance.Qualifications7+ years of experience in mortgage capital markets, loan trading, or secondary marketing.Direct experience trading or executing Closed-End Seconds, HELOCs, or agency mortgage products.BA or BS in Finance or Business.Strong understanding of Agency guidelines (Fannie Mae / Freddie Mac) and investor overlays related to NOO and second home transactions.Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced financial modeling and loan pool analysis.Experience utilizing Bloomberg for market monitoring, spread analysis, and interest rate trends.Working knowledge of Intex for mortgage-backed securities and structured product analytics.Experience working with whole loan buyers, aggregators, and mortgage investors.Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.Ability to manage multiple trades and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Preferred SkillsExperience with second lien securitizations or specialty investor outlets.Established relationships with investors purchasing second lien or non-owner occupied product.Pay range and compensation package A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this role is $150,000-$175,000. The actual salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, geographic location, training, licensure and certification, and other factors.
