We have an opening for a Events Coordinator at a conference and events venue in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal. You will coordinate all aspects of events from initial enquiry to final billing, including venue setup, catering, audio-visual equipment, and accommodation bookings. The role requires outstanding organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously. Responsibilities Promote and sell additional services and products to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue. Manage reservations for accommodation, tours, and activities, optimising occupancy and revenue through yield management. Handle guest complaints and service recovery professionally, resolving issues promptly to maintain guest satisfaction. Monitor and maintain equipment and vehicles used for tours and activities, ensuring they are clean, serviced, and roadworthy. Coordinate event logistics including venue setup, catering, entertainment, and audio-visual requirements to meet client specifications. Requirements A valid driver's licence with a professional driving permit is required for most tour guiding positions. Flexibility to work irregular hours including weekends, public holidays, and evenings as tourism is a 24/7 industry. A diploma or degree in tourism management, hospitality, or a related field from a recognised institution. For tour guide and game ranger roles, a valid FGASA or DEAT-registered guide qualification with first aid certification. Proficiency in travel booking systems and Microsoft Office applications for reservations and administrative tasks. Strong knowledge of South African geography, tourist attractions, and the local tourism product. Qualifications FGASA Field Guide Certification Level 1 or 2
