Key responsibilities •Oversee daily warehouse and distribution operations (inbound, outbound, inventory control and order fulfilment) to ensure efficiency and accuracy. •Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and all health & safety requirements; conduct regular audits and risk assessments. •Monitor operational KPIs and implement corrective actions where required; drive continuous improvement initiatives. •Act as the primary on-site point of contact for the client(s); manage escalations and resolve operational issues promptly. •Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met or exceeded; provide regular performance reporting and lead client review meetings. •Lead, motivate and develop site staff (supervisors, warehouse operatives and administrative personnel); manage workforce planning, training and performance reviews. •Manage site budget and cost control; identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies. •Support contract renewals, new business and scope changes in partnership with the commercial/cluster management team. •Submit and present Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews (MBRs) to internal stakeholders and client(s). Minimum requirements: •Matric (Grade 12) required; relevant qualification in Logistics/Supply Chain/Operations Management will be advantageous. •Minimum 10 years’ experience in managing warehouse/distribution operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/management role.
