Childcare & Household Assistant

Introduction We are seeking a caring, energetic, and responsible Childcare & Household Assistant to support a busy family with the day-to-day care of their children and light household duties. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English, enjoy spending time with children, and be confident managing school routines and household tasks. Family of four (mum, dad, two kids ages 5 and 7). This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and takes pride in helping a family run smoothly.

Duties & Responsibilities Childcare

Supervise and actively engage with the children in age-appropriate play and activities. Ensure the children are safe, happy, and well cared for throughout the day. Assist with the morning routine, including getting the children dressed in their school uniforms and ready for the day. Prepare and pack school lunchboxes. Collect the children from school using transport arranged by the family (Uber), ensuring their safe return home.

Household Duties

Assist with general house cleaning and tidying. Help maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming home environment. Support with other reasonable household tasks as required.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Excellent spoken English and strong communication skills. Previous experience caring for children is advantageous. Energetic, patient, and able to keep up with active children. Responsible, trustworthy, and reliable. Able to follow instructions and work independently. Good organisational and time-management skills. Comfortable using a mobile phone and coordinating transport arrangements when collecting children.

Package & Remuneration R5000 - R6500 per month depends on experience.
