Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Golang Developer to join our team in a nearshore capacity. This role is critical for building scalable, high-performance backend services. You will be responsible for designing and deploying robust cloud-native applications on AWS using a serverless-first approach. As a key member of our engineering team, you will focus on writing efficient, maintainable code in Golang and leveraging modern AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and enhance code quality. This position requires full alignment with Central Standard Time (CST) hours. Key Responsibilities Backend Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable backend services using Golang. Cloud Architecture: Architect and deploy secure, cloud-native applications on AWS (utilizing Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and SQS). Serverless Engineering: Implement and optimize serverless architectures, ensuring high performance, cost-efficiency, and resilience. AI Integration: Actively apply AI-driven development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar) to increase development velocity and automate routine coding tasks. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate functional requirements into robust technical designs. Quality Assurance: Write comprehensive unit and integration tests; participate in code and design reviews to maintain high development standards. Issue Resolution: Triage production incidents and troubleshoot complex issues within defined MTTR (Mean Time To Recover) targets. Technical Requirements Experience: 5–7 years of demonstrable professional experience in software engineering. Core Language: Advanced proficiency in Golang (Golang must be your primary language for service development). Cloud Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly in a serverless environment. Database Knowledge: Familiarity with NoSQL (DynamoDB) and relational databases (RDS). AI Tools: Proven ability to use AI tools for code generation, debugging, and documentation. Communication: Excellent verbal and written English skills, with experience working in geographically distributed or international teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the FinTech or SaaS domain. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
