Job Title: Concrete Laborer Job Category: Entry-Level Company: Knox Concrete Construction Pay: $18 - $32 per hour, based on experience Job Overview We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Concrete Laborer to join our team. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work and overtime opportunities. Start times may vary, including early mornings (as early as 6:00 AM). Employees become eligible for benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k) after completing a 90-day probationary period. Key Responsibilities Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment at all times Identify and report hazards or unsafe behavior to the Foreman or Crew Leader Assist with mixing, pouring, and finishing concrete Transport materials, tools, and equipment across job sites Direct traffic and maintain safe work zones when required Operate hand tools and power tools such as jackhammers, drills, and saws Build, set, and dismantle concrete forms Clean and prepare job sites to eliminate hazards Load and unload construction materials and distribute as needed Assist skilled tradesmen including finishers, crew leaders, and supervisors Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and machinery Perform general labor tasks including digging, backfilling, leveling, and compacting Qualifications Minimum 3 years of construction experience preferred Ability to obtain OSHA 10 certification and First Aid certification Strong work ethic and reliability Effective communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Experience using hand tools and power tools Valid US Drivers License Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions, including heat over 100°F Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and twist throughout the workday Ability to lift and carry at least 40 lbs Strong physical stamina, coordination, and manual dexterity What We're Looking For Dependability: Consistent attendance is critical to team success Attention to Detail: Ability to complete tasks accurately with minimal supervision Teamwork: Willingness to work collaboratively and maintain a positive attitude Stress Tolerance: Ability to perform in physically demanding and high-pressure environments Willingness to Learn: Exposure to multiple trades including concrete, carpentry, and site work
