As the Security Officer, ACSO, you will support Aecon’s Chief Security Officer in leading and overseeing project, site, personnel, and information security programs across assigned Aecon projects. Operating within a high‑compliance environment, you will help ensure Aecon projects meet all applicable federal, regulatory, and contractual security obligations. In this role, you will act as a key liaison with federal and regulatory agencies, and work closely with internal partners across Operations, HR, Legal, and IT to embed security requirements into Aecon’s project delivery, culture, and infrastructure. Provide direct support to the Company Security Officer in the execution of security governance and oversight responsibilities Deliver operational, administrative, and advisory support to ensure internal and external security protocols, standards, and procedures are consistently applied Oversee and administer security clearance processes for employees, subcontractors, and third‑party partners, as required Maintain and manage all records and data required to obtain and sustain security clearances, including highly confidential and sensitive information Liaise with relevant government agencies, regulatory bodies, and external authorities on security‑related matters Develop company‑and project‑specific tools, materials, and resources to support awareness, training, and understanding of security requirements Establish, administer, and maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures to demonstrate and ensure compliance Act as a central point of coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders on security matters Monitor, interpret, and communicate changes to security policies, directives, and requirements, advising stakeholders on implications and next steps Support assessments and determinations related to access level and clearance requirements, aligned with project and contractual obligations Excellent understanding of information security, confidentiality standards, and records management requirements Proven ability to interpret and apply project‑specific security requirements outlined in contracts and agreement documents Prior experience administering security clearances and managing controlled or protected information Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role. #
