We are seeking a diligent and reliable Industrial Cleaning Technician to join our facilities management team in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, ZA . This hands-on role is essential for maintaining a safe, clean, and hygienic environment across our industrial facilities. You will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks, operating specialized equipment, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards. Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive cleaning of industrial machinery, equipment, floors, walls, and other surfaces using specialized cleaning agents and equipment. Operate and maintain industrial cleaning machinery such as pressure washers, floor scrubbers, and vacuums. Safely handle and dispose of industrial waste, chemicals, and hazardous materials according to regulations. Follow strict health, safety, and hygiene protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify areas requiring cleaning or maintenance. Prepare cleaning solutions and mixtures according to specific instructions and safety guidelines. Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or damages. Assist with minor maintenance tasks related to cleaning equipment. Respond to urgent cleaning requests and emergencies as needed. Adhere to established cleaning schedules and work procedures. Qualifications: Previous experience in industrial cleaning or a related field is highly preferred. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, materials, and equipment used in industrial settings. Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations pertaining to cleaning operations. Ability to operate and maintain industrial cleaning machinery. Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and standing for extended periods. Attention to detail and a strong work ethic. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. Basic understanding of English for communication and safety instructions.
