Expert Review
In the competitive landscape of security jobs, Penson and Green Security presents a solid opportunity for both armed and unarmed positions. Applicants must hold valid training certificates: 20-hour and PERC card for unarmed roles, and 40-hour training plus a FOID card for armed roles. This requirement might limit options for those not already certified.
The flexibility of full-time and part-time roles is appealing, especially for those balancing other commitments. Moreover, the company allows new hires 30 days to provide certification, making it somewhat accessible for those who are quick to act. The demand for security services in Chicago and surrounding areas is on the rise, which could lead to stable job prospects.
While the role is suitable for individuals with a passion for security, it may not be the best fit for those lacking the required certifications or who are unwilling to pursue them. Overall, this opportunity can serve as a stepping stone for those looking to enter the security field. For more details, visit Penson and Green Security's job listing on Indeed.
