Opportunity Available!!! Our Audit and Accounting client is seeking SAIPA-accredited Accounting Graduates to join their firm based in Durban North. The SAIPA traineeship typically spans three years, after which the trainee qualifies as a Professional Accountant. All positions are strictly office-based, and reliable daily transport to Glenashley is essential. Candidates must currently reside in or near Durban North , Morningside, Berea, Phoenix, Umhlanga, Umdloti. Unfortunately, we cannot consider applicants from areas such as Amanzimtoti, Ballito, or Pietermaritzburg due to transport and cost constraints. Remuneration: R7k - 10k for trainees (depending on experience) MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Be studying towards or in possession of a BCom Degree or similar qualification A minimum of one year’s experience in an accounting practice is required. They maintain a professional, client-facing environment, so employees are expected to be well-groomed, presentable, and dressed in corporate attire at all times. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to): Completion of all task necessary to gain sufficient exposure to the SAIPA Training Program competencies and related documentation over the period of traineeship to a SAIPA degree of expertise Bookkeeping, accounting reports and related services Assurance, review and compilation of Annual Financial Statements Tax calculations, submissions of VAT201 and EMP201 JOB REQUIREMENTS: Have excellent written and verbal communication skills Be very comfortable with, and have a general understanding of, computers and software with an ability to learn new software easily Have working knowledge of Word and Excel, Experience with Draftworx, XERO and Pastel advantageous but not required Have strong analytical ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high levels of accuracy and quality of work Be deadline-driven and able to work independently without constant supervision Have a strong desire to learn and develop in the position in line with furthering your traineeship Please take note: if you have not been contacted within 14 days, please consider your application unsuccessful.
