The Role & Candidate Requirements Clayville, Gauteng A leading manufacturing business is seeking to appoint an experienced and results-driven Production Manager / Regional Manager to take full responsibility for its Gauteng operations. This senior leadership opportunity is suited to a hands-on operational leader with strong manufacturing expertise, proven people management ability, and the commercial acumen to drive operational performance, production excellence, and regional growth. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all manufacturing and production activities within the Gauteng operation Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery deadlines are consistently achieved Drive operational planning, workflow optimisation, and continuous improvement initiatives Oversee cost control, budgeting, and operational efficiency Ensure compliance with quality standards, health & safety regulations, and company policies Lead, coach, and develop production teams to achieve high performance Manage inventory control, materials planning, and supply chain coordination Act as the regional operational lead, supporting client relationships and business growth initiatives Prepare and present operational and performance reports to executive management Minimum Requirements Diploma or Degree in Production Management, Engineering, or related field Minimum 5–10 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment Automotive manufacturing and/or vehicle conversion industry experience advantageous Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a senior management role Experience managing an ISO-accredited manufacturing facility advantageous Strong understanding of production planning, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles Proven leadership and people management experience Strong financial, budgeting, and operational management capability Sound knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory compliance within manufacturing environments Key Competencies Strong leadership and decision-making ability Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Results-driven with a high level of accountability Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on operationally Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced production environment What’s on Offer Competitive, market-related salary package Senior leadership opportunity within a growing manufacturing business Fast-paced, performance-driven environment Opportunity to make a meaningful operational and strategic impact Reporting Line Reporting to the Executive: Operations / Chief Executive Officer.
