Schedule HoursThis position is for a Security Officer role. The shift pattern provides consistent part-time hours throughout the week, with a mix of morning and evening duties. Weekly Schedule Monday: 06:30 - 08:30 & 18:30 - 20:30 (4.0 hrs) Tuesday: 06:30 - 08:30 & 18:30 - 20:00 (3.5 hrs) Wednesday: 06:30 - 08:30 & 18:30 - 20:00 (3.5 hrs) Thursday: 06:30 - 08:30 & 18:30 - 20:30 (4.0 hrs) Friday: 06:30 - 08:30 & 18:30 - 19:30 (3.0 hrs) Saturday: 06:30 - 08:30 (2.0 hrs) Sunday: Day off Total Weekly Hours: 20.0 hours Job Overview We\'re looking for a reliable and professional Security Officer to help keep our building safe and running smoothly. You\'ll be responsible for opening and closing the premises, managing alarms, and making sure everything is secure and ready on time. You\'ll wear a clean, well‑presented uniform (trousers, shirt, and shoes) and represent Mitie with professionalism and care. Main Duties Unlock and secure the building each day, following safety procedures. Activate and deactivate alarm systems correctly. Carry out regular checks to ensure the premises are safe and secure. Report any issues, faults, or safety concerns to the manager. Maintain a smart appearance and provide a friendly, helpful service. Work effectively with colleagues and support smooth daily operations. What we are looking for Someone reliable, punctual, and detail‑focused. Comfortable working alone and following procedures. Strong communication skills and a positive attitude. Previous experience in security is helpful but not essential. Flexible and willing to adapt to early or late shifts when needed.
