Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Service Receptionist located in Waterfall, Durban (Hillcrest area). In this role you will manage the front desk, welcome customers dropping off vehicles for servicing and repairs, handle all payments and invoicing, and receive incoming parts deliveries. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations and delivering excellent customer service in a busy workshop environment. Key Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and professionally at the front desk Receive vehicles for servicing, repairs and maintenance; accurately capture job cards and explain the service process Liase with our bookings agent for scheduled appointments and assist with managing the workshop booking diary Process customer payments and issue invoices/receipts Handle cash-ups and basic financial admin Receive, inspect and log incoming parts and supplier deliveries; update stock records and notify the workshop team Manage returns of parts not required - ensure they are returned timeously and are accompanied by the correct paperwork. Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries and provide service updates to customers Maintain a clean, tidy and professional front-desk and reception area Assist with general workshop administration and any ad-hoc duties as required Manage stock and conduct stock takes in accordance with our stock control policy Requirements Matric / Grade 12 certificate (essential) Previous experience in a customer service, reception or cashier role (preferably in an automotive workshop, dealership or retail environment) Computer literate – proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable learning workshop management software Strong numerical skills and cash up procedure experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Friendly, professional and patient attitude with a strong customer-service focus Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

Matric / Grade 12 certificate (essential)

Previous experience in a customer service, reception or cashier role (preferably in an automotive workshop, dealership or retail environment)

Computer literate – proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable learning workshop management software

Strong numerical skills and cash up procedure experience

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Friendly, professional and patient attitude with a strong customer-service focus

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
