MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB To deliver safe, quality nursing care according to the Scope of Practice KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team Identify, prevent and report risks to ensure patient safety Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions Participate in creating a learning environment that builds staff competence Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged Required Education ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Enrolled Nurse Certificate DESIRED EDUCATION: For specialised wards, CPD courses in specific speciality area Required Experience ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: None DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 1 year post qualification experience before placement in a specialised unit Required Job Skills And Knowledge Basic life support trainedInfection prevention and controlPharmacologyScientific nursing principles and processPatient assessment skillsNursing processes and proceduresComputer literate (Microsoft Office)Relevant nursing legislationNursing care plan skillsRisk identification
