A corporate risk management firm in Knysna, Western Cape is hiring a Control Room Operator to conduct security risk assessments for clients. You will evaluate site security measures, identify vulnerabilities, develop security plans and recommendations, and present findings to client management. Experience in security auditing and report writing is needed. Responsibilities Assist with emergency procedures including fire evacuations, medical emergencies, and crisis situations according to established protocols. Conduct regular patrols of the assigned premises on foot or by vehicle, checking for security breaches, hazards, and suspicious activity. Conduct searches of personnel, vehicles, and bags entering or leaving the premises to prevent unauthorised removal of property. Provide excellent customer service to clients, tenants, and visitors while maintaining a firm and professional security presence. Supervise and coordinate a team of security officers, managing shift rosters and ensuring all posts are adequately staffed. Requirements Good written and verbal communication skills to write reports and interact professionally with clients and the public. A minimum of one to two years of experience in the security industry with a proven track record of reliability. A clear criminal record is mandatory and subject to regular review as per PSIRA requirements. Grade 12 certificate is preferred; Grade 10 may be acceptable for certain entry-level positions.
