Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. This is a position that will be for on-call or flex scheduale. The ideal candidate is retired law-enforcement or military service member. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. Responsibilities Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises. Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. Respond promptly to alarms and calls for assistance, assessing situations and taking appropriate action. Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to monitor activities within the facility. Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate logs of daily activities. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary and provide assistance during investigations. Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property. Provide first aid or CPR as needed in emergency situations until professional help arrives. Skills Proven experience in law enforcement, military or security-related roles is preferred. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively. Certification in security practices or related fields is a plus. Familiarity with surveillance systems, including CCTV operation and monitoring techniques. Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and techniques. Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions quickly. First aid and CPR certification is highly desirable. Military experience may be beneficial but is not required.
