Job Summary We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring the property, preventing theft or damage, and responding promptly to emergencies. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and proactive security measures are essential. Duties Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks Monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras, to oversee all activity within and around the site Enforce loss prevention policies by observing suspicious behaviour and intervening when necessary Respond swiftly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing appropriate action such as first aid if required Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches for reporting purposes Control access points by checking identification and issuing visitor passes as needed Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services during incidents or investigations Ensure all security equipment is functioning correctly and report any faults or damages Experience Previous experience in security or a related field is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for all new hires Knowledge of surveillance techniques and CCTV operation is advantageous Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and protocols is desirable Certification in first aid or emergency response is a plus but not mandatory; training will be available for successful candidates Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert during long shifts Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanour at all times This position requires individuals who are responsible, alert, and committed to maintaining a safe environment. Candidates must be able to work independently while adhering to company policies and procedures.
