Human by nature. Manufacturing Manager - Your future position? As a Manufacturing Manager in Johannesburg, you will manage one or more manufacturing processes. These processes must ensure that flavour products are manufactured on schedule, within quality standards and cost objectives for smooth delivery to customers. You will report to the Head of Operations. Your main responsibilities Manufacturing Strategy Implementation Manage a team with focus on policy and strategy implementation and control. Based on regional strategy, oversees the execution of tactical and operational plans locally to meet functional goals. Manufacturing Management Control production of flavours/fragrances, material flow, and inventory to achieve cost and quality targets and production schedules of the assigned production line(s). Oversee the implementation of manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality. This achieves cost efficiency through developing and implementing product assembly labor standards and work instructions, designing and maintaining line layouts and tools and fixtures properly. Develop and implement manufacturing schedules and procedures and allocate labour and capital resources to maximise productivity. Establish manufacturing and quality control standards and develop budget controls and plans. Partner with functional or operational area managers, such as those in supply and logistics or sales, to understand their current product needs. Understand their future product needs as well. Develop plans, cost estimates, and schedules for integrating these needs into existing manufacturing activities. Implement projects and guide continuous improvement to achieve main performance goals and to reduce cost/kg. People Management Create an environment for high performance through sound leadership. Monitor employee job performance such as attendance, quality, and productivity. Ensure that all assigned personnel is trained and cross-trained. Administer personnel responsibilities, including recruiting and approval of job descriptions and salary classifications, and selection and placement of personnel. You have Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or related discipline MBA or Master's Degree in a Technical field is preferred 7 to 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations with strong background in supply chain, quality and/or materials management 2 to 5 years of progressive experience in people management Expertise in world class manufacturing concepts (LEAN). Expertise in product industrialization. Expertise in change management.
