Employer Description Our client is a manganese mining company Job Description - Analyze maintenance practices and optimize (reactive vs planned vs predictive). - Develop and implement maintenance improvement plans aligned with business goals. - Optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies. - Reduce breakdowns and unplanned downtime through systematic improvements. - Support or implement Reliability-Centered Maintenance - Conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA / RCA) on major and recurring failures. - Identify chronic equipment issues. - Improve MTBF and MTTR to improve equipment reliability. - Maintenance Planning & Scheduling Improvement - Coach and mentor artisans, planners, and supervisors. - Drive behavioural change towards proactive maintenance. - Assist with training needs identification and competency - Work closely with: Operations, Engineering, Commercial,OEMs and Suppliers. Qualifications - Grade 12 and NQF level 6 engineering qualification - Project management certificate - Supervisory certificate in engineering - Qualified engineering artisan with valid trade certificate or equivalent will be added advantage Skills - Minimum 5 years relevant experience as Maintenance and Improvement Specialist within an opencast mining and process plant environment - Must be Computer literate (Intermediate Microsoft Office Package). - Experience in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) - System orientated (i.e. SAP, Ellipse, SAGE or KARABO PM) or similar experience. - Valid drivers license code 08 Benefits - Travell allowance - Pension - Medical aid - Life insurance
