Overview Job Skills / Requirements Location: Hartland - Greater Victoria, BC Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Shift: Overnight Mobile Patrol (1700-0000, 0000-0700) About the Role We are currently seeking dependable and professional Evening and Overnight Mobile Security Officers to patrol and monitor a critical infrastructure and industrial site located in the Hartland area near Victoria, BC. This position involves vehicle patrols, access control checks, perimeter inspections, incident response, and maintaining a strong security presence throughout overnight hours. Officers must be comfortable working independently in remote and outdoor environments. The Hartland area includes utility and industrial operations with limited overnight activity, making strong observational awareness and reliability essential. Work Environment This position is located near an active industrial and waste management area. Officers should be comfortable working in outdoor environments where occasional odours, wildlife activity, and environmental conditions associated with the surrounding area may be present. . Responsibilities • Conduct scheduled mobile patrols throughout the site and surrounding access roads • Monitor gates, fencing, equipment compounds, and restricted areas • Identify and report trespassing, suspicious activity, vandalism, or safety hazards • Complete digital patrol logs and detailed incident reports • Respond to emergencies, prepare reports • Maintain communication with management and site contacts • Provide a visible and professional security presence overnight Qualifications • Valid BC Security Worker License • Valid Class 5 Driver's License with clean abstract • Previous mobile patrol experience preferred • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work independently during overnight shifts • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions • Basic computer and report-writing skills • OFA Level 1 / First Aid certification considered an asset Requirements • Ability to pass a criminal record check • Reliable transportation to the Hartland / Victoria reporting area • Availability for overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts • Professional appearance and dependable attendance • Physically capable of conducting foot patrols and mobile patrol What We Offer • Competitive hourly pay • Paid training and site orientation • Opportunities for advancement • Supportive operations team Apply Today Interested applicants are encouraged to submit their resume along with any relevant certifications and security experience.
